This film is great. It's my favourite of the Hammer Dracula sequels.
It had an original plot, great cinematography and of course Veronica Carlson. Great stuff.
I may watch it again soon.

What was it a sequel to, Hygelac? It was a sequel to the '(Horror Of) Dracula'. The series goas as follows: Dracula (1958) The Brides of Dracula (1960) - This one doesn't actually feature Dracula! Dracula: Prince of Darkness (1966) Dracula Has Risen from the Grave (1968) Taste the Blood of Dracula (1970) Scars of Dracula (1970)Hammer also made a modern Dracula (1970s) series: Dracula A.D. 1972 (1972) The Satanic Rites of Dracula (1974)And a spin-off (or sequel to the original series) with out Christopher Lee as Dracula, but did feature Van Helsing as played by Peter Cushing: The Legend of the 7 Golden Vampires (1974)And one film that was going to billed as a sequel: The Kiss of the Vampire (1963)

Out of the ones on the list I suggest the first one obviously, then 'Dracula: Prince of Darkness' which I think is the second best sequel....and then I personally like 'Scars of Dracula' which may be the most fun...though it isn't the most popular in the Horror-Film community (but they mostly hate 'Lust For A Vampre' so I don't care what they think! ).

They are all great film, these hammers. The second one is my favorite because it gives us a detailed explanation of the hammer vampire mythos although it doesn't have Dracula in it!
