Director Rob Cohen (The Fast and the Furious, Stealth) is currently at work on the latest entry in Universal Picture's Mummy movie franchise 'The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor'. Taking over directorial duties from original producer/ director Stephen Sommers, Cohen's entry reintroduces father-and-son duo Rick O'Connell (Brendan Fraser) and his son Alex (Luke Ford) as they accidentally (well...how else :-D) unearth the entombed body of the first Emperor of Qin (Jet Li) an evil shape-shifting entity who was cursed by a Wizard (Michelle Yeoh) centuries ago. The movie (written by 'Smallville' and 'Spiderman 2' screenwriters Miles Millar and Alfred Gough) will hit theaters on August 1st 2008 (U.S. release date) and is sure to be a major success for Universal. I hope this one lives up to the hype. It sounds awesome!
